You are very welcome to join us at Jericho Road in Port Alberni every Sunday at 10:00 AM for a contemporary worship service.
Services include worship, teaching, testimony and communion.Relationships are more important than religion. Most people do not feel spiritual enough or good enough…… we want to encourage everyone to know that God is good, kind, and welcoming to all – no matter where they’ve been or what they’ve done. Chances are you’re not the only one 🙂
Sunday School is available for children aged 3 – 14, and we also have a Youth Group.
There’s opportunity afterwards for refreshments – including Fair Trade Coffee.
Members of Jericho Road Port Alberni host a variety of groups throughout the week. Please browse the Upcoming Events calendar for more information on various groups – call the office and speak to Aimee: 250-723-2328

Gathering together regularly for prayer is a high priority. That’s not merely for the super-spiritual so feel free to join in; you may have the best contribution!
From 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Jericho Road we share in a time of worship, bible reading, discussion and prayer. This is followed (September – June) with a lunch that is open to anyone from our community. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate birthdays once a month.
A Prayer Room in the Church building is available for personal use throughout the day. Please contact Office for details.
Thursday – Soaking Prayer
What on earth is Soaking Prayer?
Each Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM many people gather at the Jericho Road building for a time of Soaking Prayer.
In a very busy world this is a space to come and be open to God – with others – just as you are. While worship music is playing people walk around, dance, sit, lie down, have prayer for healing, read the bible, paint a picture, or even go to sleep. God is more willing and able to communicate with us than we often realize. This is a great time to keep company with Jesus and to see what happens – it will be good..
We have a full-size gym at the Church in Port available for basketball, badminton, pickle ball and other activities. Please contact Office for more information.
While we believe in age-appropriate and life-stage ministries, Jericho Road enthusiastically encourages a sense of family for all who are a part of our church.
Every 2nd Sunday of the month in Port Alberni we host a Family Service specifically geared towards our younger members, with music and a message that’s engaging and directed to our children and youth. On every other Sunday activities are planned for the younger children and older youth.
I am Second
This is a ministry supporting those struggling to be free of addictions.
I Am Second meets from 5:00 – 6:30 PM every Thursday at Jericho Road Port Alberni for dinner and an opportunity to share our journey from brokenness (of many kinds) and to offer friendship and hope for those who have lost so much. We believe that God’s love is powerfully able to set us free from addiction and despair – but we need people as well to support us and encourage us.
Please contact Wayne Bernard for more info – JR Office – 250-723-2328.
Our youth are lead by Michael and Heather Kleyn. The Jr Youth (Grades 4-7) meet every Friday night from 5 – 7 PM, and the Sr Youth (Grades 8-12) meet from 7:30 – 9:30 PM for a variety of games, music, food, worship, a short talk about Jesus and more.
Young Adults Group
Our young adults are lead by Michael and Heather Kleyn. They meet every Wednesday at 8:00 PM at Michael and Heather’s house.
Jericho Road offers 3 Sunday School classes for children and youth during the Sunday morning service. There is a nursery to grade one class, grade 2-6 elementary class, and a teen class for youth in grades 7 – 9.
Each class is led by a team of adults who have a heart for youth and have gone through a basic application process with our church leadership, including criminal record checks.
A sound proof room adjoining the main meeting area is available for parents of young children to enable them to participate in Sunday services.
